Driving the hips forward against a rope attached to a low cable teaches the hinge pattern and loads the glutes without compressing the spine.

The cable pull through is a hip hinge exercise with constant cable tension that builds glute and hamstring strength for HYROX Sled Pull and running propulsion.

Movement

A cable pull-through is a loaded hip-hinge variation performed facing away from a low cable, with the attachment passing between the legs. Stance, cable height, range and load change the task; it is not a glute isolation exercise.

Programming

Keep the cable path clear and choose range and load that permit balance and controlled hip motion. It may practice a hinge but does not guarantee back safety, injury prevention or race transfer.
