Average HYROX Time

An average HYROX finish time is the arithmetic mean of a defined set of classified race results. It is not a universal constant and is interpretable only with the season, events, division, filters, sample size and retrieval date.

What a finish time covers
The current HYROX® Singles rulebook governs the divisions, distances, loads and standards. The official format page describes eight 1 km runs, each followed by one workout station. Results from Open, Pro, Doubles and Relay are different categories and should not be pooled as though they measured the same entry.
Why the old benchmarks were removed
The captured page called several ranges official global 2023/24 averages but provided no result export, included events, status filters, sample counts or calculation. Its 5–10-minute city effect, 25–35-minute Elite gap, 50–60% running share and claims about particular host communities were likewise not reproducible.
How to calculate a useful average
Select official results for a named event or declared event set and one division. State how DNS, DNF, disqualifications and penalties are treated. Record the retrieval date and count, then calculate the arithmetic mean and median. Publish age-group or sex breakdowns only when those fields and inclusion rules are defined.
Using the result
Compare like with like: same division, rule period and declared result set. A mean does not define a beginner target, diagnose a weakness or prescribe training. Running volume, intensity and station practice should be selected from the athlete’s history, goals and tolerance rather than a universal 30–50 km rule.
Questions
What is the average HYROX® finish time?
There is no source-independent number. A valid average names the season, events, division, filters, sample size and date.
Can Open, Pro, Doubles and Relay results be combined?
They are different race categories. Report them separately unless the purpose and weighting of a combined statistic are explicitly defined.
Is a sub-100-minute finish always a beginner benchmark?
No. A threshold has meaning only for a specified division and result sample; it is not a universal readiness or quality standard.
