Average HYROX® Finish Time Doubles

How to calculate and interpret a HYROX Doubles average from a defined official result set.
An average HYROX® Doubles finish time is meaningful only when its dataset is defined. The arithmetic mean is the sum of the included official finish times divided by the number of classified teams. It is not automatically the same as the median, a percentile or a record.
What Doubles results measure
The current HYROX® Doubles rulebook governs the course, divisions and movement standards. HYROX® also describes Doubles as partners running together while splitting the exercise workload in its official race overview. A finish time therefore belongs to a particular division, event, season and rule set.
Why there is no single timeless average
The captured article gave means, medians, percentiles and “world records” without naming the result export, included events, season, status filters or calculation date. Those figures are not reproducible and have been removed. Event size, course layout, division, age group, penalties and which results are included can change a summary.
For a usable benchmark, select official results for a named event or declared set of events; keep Men, Women, Mixed, Open and Pro categories separate; exclude DNS, DNF and disqualified entries under a stated rule; state the retrieval date; then report the count and calculation. Use the median as well as the mean when unusually slow or fast times could distort the mean.
Comparing your team
Compare your time with the same division and a clearly named result set. A record is the fastest eligible performance under its governing category, not an average. A percentile describes position within the selected sample and cannot be transferred automatically to “most events.” The official sources do not establish a universal 10–15% advantage over Singles, a fixed beginner threshold or a guaranteed time saving from any transition strategy.
Partners still need to follow the current rules for running together and sharing station work. Training together, agreeing on legal changeovers and choosing a sustainable pace are planning options; the sources do not prescribe one weekly frequency, monthly simulation or 70–75% effort target for every pair.
Product context
Doubles is the fastest-growing HYROX® division, attracting athletes who want the race experience with a shared workload. Average Doubles times have dropped steadily since 2021 as more experienced athletes enter the division and station strategy matures. A finish under 70 minutes places a Doubles team in the top 20% of most events. Use Repz analytics to compare your Doubles times against the global field and track improvement over time.
Questions
What is the average HYROX® Doubles finish time?
There is no single source-independent number. A valid average must name the season, events, division, inclusion rules, team count and calculation date.
Is a record the same as an average?
No. A record is the fastest eligible result in its category; an average summarizes a defined group of results.
How should I compare my first Doubles result?
Use official results from the same division and a named event or season sample. Check the sample definition before relying on a mean, median or percentile.
