The dumbbell fly is a chest isolation exercise performed on a flat bench, building pectoral endurance that supports HYROX sled push performance.

Movement

A dumbbell fly moves the arms through horizontal shoulder motion while holding dumbbells, commonly on a bench. Bench angle, elbow bend, range and load alter shoulder and chest demands; it does not isolate one muscle.

Programming

Use a controllable pain-free range and load. A deeper position is not automatically better, and no elbow angle guarantees shoulder safety. Choose dose from goal and response; this exercise does not guarantee muscle growth or HYROX® performance.
