The dumbbell glute bridge builds hip extension strength with minimal spinal loading, supporting HYROX sled work and running performance.

Definition and limits

A dumbbell glute bridge is loaded hip extension from a supine position with a dumbbell across the pelvis. Gluteal muscles and other hip extensors contribute while the feet and upper body provide support. Foot position, knee angle, range and load change the task; it does not isolate one muscle.
