Glutes

The glutes are the gluteus maximus, medius and minimus muscles of the buttock and lateral hip region.
Definition
Their actions include contributions to hip extension, abduction and rotation, depending on the muscle region, joint position and task. They also contribute to pelvic control with other muscles.

Evidence and use
The phrase “inactive glutes” is not a diagnosis. Weakness, pain, posture or performance cannot be inferred from one exercise or visual sign, and strengthening does not guarantee injury prevention or HYROX® improvement.

These exercises come from the Repz exercise database of 217 movements, prioritized by transfer to HYROX® race performance.
Your glutes don't train themselves - and generic gym programs rarely target them for the endurance HYROX® demands. Repz looks at your race data to find the muscle groups limiting you, then programs station-specific work to strengthen them. Find Your Weak Station →
