Kettlebell Halo

The kettlebell halo is a shoulder mobility and core stability exercise where you circle a kettlebell around your head in a controlled arc. It improves thoracic mobility and scapular stability — qualities that directly support Wall Ball and SkiErg performance in HYROX.
Technique
In a kettlebell halo, the weight travels slowly around the head while the athlete controls the trunk and keeps the implement clear of the face. Grip, path and available shoulder range determine whether it can be performed comfortably. This description does not establish that the exercise corrects posture or shoulder mechanics.

Programming and safety
Begin with a manageable load and range, then progress only while control and comfort remain. Research guidance supports individualized resistance training, but does not identify halos as necessary for HYROX® or prove a fixed repetition scheme. Stop for sharp, persistent or worsening pain and seek appropriate assessment.
