Butt kicks are a running drill that develops hamstring activation and running cadence, essential for HYROX athletes covering 8 km of running.

Definition

This is a resistance-training movement. Joint positions, range, tempo and load change the task, and several muscles contribute; the movement does not isolate one muscle.
