Diamond Push Up

A diamond push-up is a push-up performed with the hands close together beneath the upper body.
Movement
The diamond push-up uses a narrow hand position while the body lowers and rises through arm and shoulder motion. Hand spacing, body angle and range alter the task.

Evidence and programming
Acute EMG studies compare electrical activity during variants; they do not prove that one position builds more muscle, prevents injury or improves sport performance. Choose a controllable variation and progress load or repetitions according to the goal and response.
