Easy Run

The easy run is a conversational-pace run at Zone 1-2 heart rate, building the aerobic foundation HYROX athletes need for 8 km of racing and efficient station transitions.
Purpose and intensity
An easy run is a low-intensity session intended to be sustainable and controlled. “Easy” is relative to the runner and conditions rather than one pace or heart-rate percentage. Breathing, perceived effort and the talk test can guide intensity, while heat, hills, fatigue and fitness affect the response.

Programming and limits
Duration and frequency depend on training history, health, goals and total load. Easy running can contribute aerobic volume and skill practice, but it is still training stress and does not guarantee recovery, injury prevention or a race-time improvement. Record the method used to classify intensity before comparing sessions.
