Stability

Stability — The ability to maintain control of joint position and body alignment during movement. Core and joint stability prevent energy leaks and injuries across all HYROX® stations.
Definition
Stability is the ability of a system to maintain or regain a controlled state under a particular task and disturbance. In exercise, it depends on the body, support surface, load, speed and goal; it is not one muscle or one universal trait.

Training
Stable and less-stable exercises impose different demands. Instability is not automatically more functional or superior for strength, balance or sport. Choose task and progression from the intended outcome and response; stability training does not guarantee core activation, injury prevention or HYROX® performance.
