What Is Threshold Pace?

The running pace at or near lactate threshold — the fastest sustainable effort for roughly 30-60 minutes. Key for pacing HYROX run segments at competitive intensity.
Meaning
Threshold pace is an operational training pace near a chosen physiological threshold, but threshold definitions and methods differ. Heart rate, blood lactate, breathing, perceived effort and race pace can classify the same session differently; one universal percentage or lactate value does not apply.

Programming
Estimate with a stated method and update from repeatable testing and response. Threshold work is only one part of endurance training; reviews do not support making all training threshold work or promise a fixed improvement from a particular session.
