Training Intensity — The level of effort or load in a workout, measured by weight, heart rate zone, pace, or RPE. Must be balanced with volume and recovery for HYROX® progress.

Definition and limits

Training intensity means how hard a person works relative to a measure such as perceived effort, heart rate, pace, power, load or repetitions in reserve. Relative and absolute intensity are different: the same task can be harder for one person than another. No single zone or metric captures every activity.
