MITEC’s hall structure varies by floor: the operator describes Level 2 as pillared and Level 3 as pillarless. One interior photograph therefore does not represent the construction of all eleven halls.
MITEC is on Jalan Dutamas 2. Use its full name, Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, to distinguish it from other convention venues.
The city
Dataran Merdeka marks a chapter in Malaysia’s independence history: the British flag was lowered here in 1957. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, with its copper domes and clock tower, and the Royal Selangor Club shape the surroundings.
