HYROX Seoul: The venue
KINTEX opened in April 2005 and has expanded in stages. The complex is in Goyang and was jointly funded by Gyeonggi Province, Goyang City and KOTRA. The event name Seoul therefore differs from the venue’s municipality.
The city
Seoul
Gwanghwamun Square connects Seoul’s history with a public space in the city centre. Statues of King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-sin provide landmarks, with the area linking to the history of Gyeongbokgung Palace and to Cheonggyecheon. Plan this as a separate city outing: the HYROX venue, KINTEX, is in Goyang.
