Current relay format
The official Team Relay rulebook governs divisions, sequence, transitions and movement standards. HYROX®’s format page describes a four-person team in which each teammate completes two 1 km runs followed by one workout station. The original claim of two stations per teammate was wrong.
Why the time tables were removed
The captured records, averages, medians, percentiles and leg splits did not identify their result export, events, season, filters or calculation. They were not reproducible. “Pro Relay” was also presented as a comparison category without support in the current relay divisions.
Building a valid comparison
Use official results from named events and one relay division. State how DNS, DNF, disqualifications and penalties are treated, then publish the sample size, retrieval date, mean and median. A record is a fastest eligible result, not an average; a percentile applies only to the selected sample.
Team planning
Assign teammates only within the current relay sequence and transition rules. Practice can reduce uncertainty, but the official sources do not prove fixed savings of 3–5 minutes or 15–30 seconds, a near-maximal intensity for everyone, a universal second warm-up, or sub-60/sub-70 performance tiers.
Product context
Relay is often the entry point for athletes new to HYROX®, offering a lower individual workload while still experiencing the full race atmosphere. The format is also popular at corporate events and gym team competitions. Average relay times have improved significantly as teams adopt more strategic approaches. Questions
How much does each relay teammate complete?
The official format assigns each of four teammates two 1 km runs followed by one workout station.
What is the average HYROX® Relay time?
There is no source-independent number. A valid mean must name the season, events, division, filters, team count and date.
Can teams assign any stations freely?
Teams choose who takes each relay segment, but must follow the current sequence, transition rules and movement standards.
