The cable kickback is a glute isolation exercise building targeted hip extension strength for HYROX Sled Push, running propulsion, and Sandbag Lunges.

Definition

This is a resistance-training movement. Joint positions, range, tempo and load change the task, and several muscles contribute; the movement does not isolate one muscle.
