Dumbbells

Dumbbells are individual handheld free weights used for unilateral and bilateral strength training. They are the most versatile HYROX training tool, supporting pressing, pulling, carrying, and functional movements that directly improve station performance.
Definition
A dumbbell is a handheld free weight available in fixed or adjustable designs. Handle size, material, locking mechanism and rated mass vary by product; there is no universal dumbbell specification. Inspect adjustable parts and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Training scope
Dumbbells can load many presses, rows, squats, hinges, lunges and carries. They do not reproduce every HYROX® station or the event’s supplied equipment, and owning a particular weight range does not create a complete programme. Select exercises and load for the intended movement and current capacity.
