HYROX Relay is a four-person team format. Under the current rulebook, each relay member completes two 1 km runs and the two corresponding workout stations.

Current format

Relay divisions are Women, Men and Mixed; the Mixed team composition is two women and two men. Each member completes two 1 km runs and the two workout stations that follow those runs. The team chooses how the four run/station blocks are assigned, including whether one member completes both blocks consecutively. Current division loads and standards come from the Relay rulebook.

Transitions and results

Only the active relay member completes the assigned run and station, with transitions governed by the Transition Zone and timing-chip rules. Teams should learn the current event procedure rather than assume a universal handover tactic or fixed athlete-to-station allocation. Rankings are event- and division-specific; strategy cannot guarantee a placing or finish time.
