Hyrox Sled Push Distance Explained

The Sled Push covers 50 m in four 12.5 m lengths in standard HYROX Singles, Doubles and Relay. It is station 2, after the second running section; Doubles partners can share the work.
The standard HYROX® Sled Push totals 50 m: four lengths of 12.5 m. This guide covers Singles, Doubles and Relay 2026/27, not every Adaptive modification.
Where the station sits
The race begins with run 1, then SkiErg, then run 2 and Sled Push. The push therefore follows the second running section, not the first. The next running section leads to the Sled Pull.
Use the lane assigned by the judging team. The entire sled must pass the 12.5 m line before you change direction. After four completed lengths and the final full crossing, the station is complete. 50 m is the total, not a single straight 50 m lane.
Team formats
Doubles covers 50 m as a team. Partners may divide the work using you-go-I-go; one person is not required to do all 50 m. Both partners start behind the line, and the resting partner walks immediately behind the working partner without obstructing others. In Relay, the racer assigned to this station completes it.
Rules and timing
Stay in your assigned lane and do not interfere with neighbouring lanes. Follow the judge’s directions and complete the marked lengths; simply touching a line with the front of the sled is not enough.
The Sled Push penalty protocol specifies a warning for the first infringement, 15 seconds for the second and 15 seconds for each subsequent infringement. Severe violations may receive immediate penalties under the general rule. HYROX®365 describes the race as having no general time cap; this does not grant unrestricted venue access.
Optional practice
Mark out 12.5 m and practise four lengths with controlled turns at a manageable load. As a coaching option, rehearse the transition from running to pushing. Choose your effort and rests according to your preparation; neither an all-out first 5 m nor a 45° body angle is required by the movement standard.

FAQ
Is the distance the same in every format?
It is 50 m for the standard Singles, Doubles and Relay formats covered here. Adaptive standards must be checked for the relevant division rather than inferred from this table.
How long should my Sled Push take?
Use comparable training efforts for personal planning. No verified representative time range by division is supplied here, and a particular finish time is not an official technique requirement.
Does the distance change at World Championships?
The standard Singles and Doubles movement rules specify 50 m; the World Championships provisions do not replace that with a longer push. This statement does not extend to every possible Adaptive category.
