Wall Ball Slam

The wall ball slam is an explosive full-body exercise where you lift a wall ball overhead and slam it into the ground, building the lat and core power HYROX athletes need for wall ball station endurance and SkiErg pulling.
What the exercise is
A wall-ball slam is an informal name for forcefully throwing a medicine or wall ball toward the floor or a permitted surface and retrieving it safely. Equipment rules vary: some balls are designed to rebound and others are not. Follow the manufacturer and facility rules, clear the landing area and use a controllable load.

HYROX® distinction and limits
This is not the HYROX® Wall Balls station. Current HYROX® Wall Balls require a squat and upward throw to a target under division-specific standards. Slams may be used as a general power or conditioning exercise, but weight, repetitions and rest should be individualised. They do not guarantee improved Wall Balls, sled work, calories burned or race time.
