Definition and limits

Zone 4 is a label used by some heart-rate systems for a high-intensity range. Its numeric boundaries depend on the zone model and on how maximum or threshold heart rate was estimated. It is not a universal physiological compartment, and pace, power, perceived exertion and the talk test can provide complementary context.
