Burpee

The burpee is a full-body explosive bodyweight exercise and core component of the HYROX Burpee Broad Jumps station, building total-body conditioning and anaerobic capacity.
Generic movement
“Burpee” covers several exercise variants, commonly combining a squat or hinge to the floor, a plank or prone position, and a return to standing, sometimes with a jump or push-up. Technique, range and demand change with the variant. Choose a version and pace that allow control and suit the session and individual.

HYROX® standard and limits
HYROX® Burpee Broad Jumps are a specific race movement at station four, not any generic burpee. Current rules define hand placement, chest contact, the broad jump and measurement across 80 m. Practise against the current standard when specificity matters. Generic burpees can train multiple qualities, but no calorie value, pacing rule or performance benefit applies universally.
