HYROX warm-up area: access, equipment and timing

What the rules actually promise
Section 11.3 establishes a racer-only warm-up area with relevant equipment. It does not say that heavy equipment is universally absent, nor does it guarantee a particular number of rowers, foam rollers, mats or sleds at every venue.
Check the event guide and the available space when you arrive. Share equipment without obstructing others. Use equipment provided for warm-up; the presence of similar equipment on the competition floor does not give you permission to enter the live course.
Fit preparation around your start
Complete check-in first and identify the route to the start tunnel. Under section 11.4, you must assemble there ten minutes before your assigned start. Do not plan to stay in the warm-up area until five minutes before the wave.
Work backwards from that deadline, allowing for bag drop and movement through the venue. The official schedule governs opening and access times; a generic article cannot guarantee that arriving a particular number of minutes beforehand will cover every queue.
Use a familiar, adaptable routine
As an optional preparation approach, use familiar easy movement and a few controlled versions of the movements you plan to race. Adjust the sequence to your experience, available equipment and time. This is not an official warm-up prescription or a claim that one duration is optimal for everyone.
Have an alternative that does not depend on one busy machine. Practise your routine in training so race day is not the first time you try it. Keep belongings in the designated storage arrangements and check the rules for anything you intend to carry into the race.

Questions
Can a spectator join me in the warm-up area?
No. The standard Singles and Doubles rules reserve it for racers.
Is a 15–20 minute warm-up mandatory or universally optimal?
No. The rulebook gives a start-tunnel assembly requirement, not one optimal warm-up duration for all athletes.
Is the warm-up area limited to light equipment?
The rules say relevant race equipment is provided; they do not impose that blanket limitation. Check the actual event setup.
