HYROX farmers carry uses two kettlebells at station six. A load written as 2 × 24 kg means 24 kg in each hand, or 48 kg combined, carried over 200 m.

Standard Singles weight chart

Division Each kettlebell Combined load Distance
Women Open 16 kg 32 kg 200 m
Women Pro 24 kg 48 kg 200 m
Men Open 24 kg 48 kg 200 m
Men Pro 32 kg 64 kg 200 m

The 2026/27 Open-to-Pro change adds 8 kg per hand, or 16 kg combined, for both men and women. Women Pro and Men Open use the same pair of weights. A combined total is not the weight of each kettlebell.

What Doubles partners carry

Women's Doubles uses 2 × 16 kg; Women's Pro Doubles, Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles use 2 × 24 kg; Men's Pro Doubles uses 2 × 32 kg. Both Mixed partners use the same pair.

The team shares a total of 200 m. The working athlete carries both kettlebells, not one each between partners. At a changeover, the kettlebells may not be passed forward. The resting partner follows behind without obstructing others. These details come from the Doubles rules; Relay, Adaptive and Elite require their applicable regulations.

Distance and legal rests

The carry follows run six. Depending on the venue, 200 m may involve multiple laps; check the athlete map. Carry both kettlebells with arms extended at your sides. You may set them down for a rest, without advancing them while lowering them.

Cross the finish line carrying the weights, then return them to the correct marked box with handles upright. The equipment return is part of completing the station. A break is allowed; an unbroken carry is not a movement requirement.

Turning the chart into training

Use the per-hand figure when selecting a pair of training weights. Choose manageable distances and practise controlled pickups, turns and set-downs before extending a carry. Record load, distance and rest to compare equivalent sessions.

If you cannot yet control the full distance, shorten the practice segment or reduce the training load. Do not increase weight automatically just because a 200 m attempt was interrupted. Rest duration varies; a universal 20–40 seconds lost per stop is not established by these rules.
